Now available for sale is a beautiful, clean, complete and fully functional Hydraulic Platform Maintenance freight car -- which is more commonly known as the Cop & Hobo freight car. This popular action car has two AAR trucks, each with a functional coupler plus the exterior colors are vibrant while the side lettering and graphics are crisp and complete. There is no damage to the body of the freight car plus all metal components are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, original instructions dated September 1962 are included and the freight car body is the later Type III variation.
The superstructure used to hold the figures is clean, complete, straight and not bent nor damaged. The freight car and figures have been tested and do operate properly when the unit is assembled to a section of straight track. Finally, the figures are either reproduction figures or modern era Lionel figures as they are the incorrect color for an original postwar police officer and hobo. Overall, a nice and clean freight car that will add a bit of a whimsical flair to your layout.
