Here's a beautiful Pennsylvania box car from the first year of production: 1945. This particular freight car has the early flying shoe trucks -- which are complete and fully functional! The exterior colors on this freight car are vibrant, the side lettering and graphics are crisp and clean and there are no nicks, dings nor dents on the all-metal box car but there is some minor paint rub marks on one edge of the top catwalk. Additionally, this freight car has all of the metal corner steps still attached to the frame plus the frame, trucks and door guides are clean and free of rust and oxidation! Overall, a beautiful box car that rarely appears for sale in collector condition.
