Now available for sale is a gorgeous early postwar crane car manufactured by Lionel in the mid to late 1940's. This crane car has vibrant exterior colors along with clean, crisp and complete lettering on the rear of the cab. Both handles operate properly plus the hook does raise / lower properly. The crane car has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced plus there is no rust nor oxidation on any of the components plus the boom is an original, undamaged boom. Overall condition is close to an 8!
Also included with this freight car is its original box and insert -- which is harder-to-locate compared to the crane car. The box is clean, solid, free of writing and tears and has all internal and external flaps. Additionally, the hard-to-find original insert is included and not torn, damaged nor mangled. Overall, a beautiful freight car that would look perfect on a layout or in a display case.
