Up for sale is a beautiful early postwar crane car manufactured by Lionel in the mid to late 1940's. This crane car has vibrant exterior colors with clean, crisp and complete lettering on the rear of the cab. Both handles operate properly plus the hook does raise / lower properly. The crane car has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced plus there is no rust nor oxidation on any of the components plus the boom is an original, undamaged boom. Overall condition is close to an 8!
Also included with this freight car is it's original box and insert -- which is harder-to-locate compared to the crane car. The box is clean, solid, free of writing and tears but there is exterior tape on one end flap. Internally, all four flaps are present, both end flaps are on the box and one of the two tuck flaps is still present. Lastly, the hard-to-find original insert is included and not torn, damaged nor mangled. Overall, a very nice and presentable original box and insert.
