Now available for sale is a gorgeous, near-new and all-original Anniversary passenger car set from 1950! Each car in this set has stunning exterior colors with vibrant, crisp and complete side lettering and graphics. Additionally, the base and trucks are clean plus the interior of each car is as clean as the exterior. Lastly, the trucks and couplers are free of rust and oxidation plus all interior lights operate just as designed by Lionel.
The only blemish within the set is on the 2481 Plainfield pullman car. On one end there is a 3/8" hairline crack -- as seen in the 7th photo above. Based upon the location, this crack is probably a stress crack from age (the roof support is directly behind the crack) as there are no signs of any nicks, chips or marks indicating something hit or fell on the car.
Overall, an absolutely beautiful three car passenger set that is as close to factory fresh as you'll find in the collector market these days!
