Now available for sale is a nice and clean, all-original tinplate caboose from the mid-1940's. This caboose is the later variation with staple-end trucks and a single coil coupler -- which are complete and fully functional. The exterior colors on the caboose are vibrant, the side lettering is crisp and clean and the only apology is a tiny spot of paint flaking on the top of the cupola. Excluding the blemish on the top of the cupola, the rest of the caboose is in condition 8!
Also included with the caboose is its original box and insert. The insert is complete, solid and has all flaps and is free of tears. The box has not held up as well as it is missing one end flap and there are several tears on the box.
