Up for sale is an early 1946, absolutely gorgeous, all-original 2466WX postwar tender, frame, trucks, internal components as well as an original postwar shell. The tender is the earlier version with silver lettering plus it has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and is ready for your layout. Externally, the tender shell is stunning with crisp and vibrant side lettering. Additionally, all internal components are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Lastly, the trucks are early flying shoe trucks that are completely intact, fully functional plus the brittle original wiring has been replaced with new wire.
Also included with the tender is an original prewar 2666W tender box that has been overstamped 2466W. As seen in the photos above, the box is missing all flaps at one end as well as missing the insert.
This tender was produced in the mid-1940's and was originally sold with the 224 & 1666 Prairie steamer. However, it is also fully compatible with many other postwar steam locomotives.
