Here's a nice and Clifton vista dome passenger car from 1956. The red stripe passenger cars were a one-year-only option from Lionel in 1956 and are not that common to locate these days. This passenger car has been thoroughly cleaned, tested and both interior lights do work properly. The car has been rewired plus both operating couplers work just as designed by Lionel. Externally, the body of the passenger car has vibrant colors and is free of nicks, chips and damage. Additionally, the roof, base and sides are in nice condition with solid side stripes and crisp side lettering and graphics. As seen in the photos above there are a few minor surface marks from usage however the passenger car is free of rust and oxidation on the trucks, couplers and base and simply a nice car that usually shows up for sale in well used condition.
Also included with the Clifton car is its original box. This Late Classic box has all exterior and interior flaps including both coupler flaps. However, as seen in the photos above there is some moisture staining on the exterior, but the box remains complete and solid.
