Condition: 7+ Original Box: 7+ Year: 1957
Here's an extremely clean, all-original silver passenger car set with red side lettering consisting of a 2432 Clifton vista dome, 2434 Newark pullman and a 2436 Moosehart observation car as well as their original boxes. This three car passenger set combination was originally included as components within the 1957 set # 1587S -- which had a 2018 Prairie steam locomotive and 1130T tender as the choice of power for that specific outfit.
Each passenger car in this set has a clean silver exterior, crisp side lettering and graphics plus nothing is broken nor damaged on any of the bodies. Internally, two of the cars are clean, the third passenger car has surface oxidation on the interior of the frame. Lastly, all lights have been tested and do illuminate properly plus all couplers are functional.
Finally, nice original boxes are included for the passenger car set. Below is a summary of them:
- All boxes are the correct Late Classic variety for 1957.
- All end and tuck flaps are present on the Clifton and Newark box, but the Moosehart box is missing one end flap.
- All inner flaps are present and five of the six coupler flaps are present.
- There are minor marks on the box exteriors from aging and/or storage.
