Condition: 7+ Original Box: 8 Year: 1957
Now available for sale is a clean, all-original silver passenger car set with red side lettering consisting of two 2432 Clifton vista dome cars and a 2436 Summit observation car as well as their original boxes. This combination was originally sold with the 204 Santa Fe Alco AA diesels in 1957 as part of set # 1586.
Each passenger car in this set has a clean silver exterior, crisp side lettering and graphics plus nothing is broken nor damaged on any of the bodies. The only apology to this set is one of the 2432 roofs has a couple of minor surface marks by the top simulated vent -- otherwise the rest of the cars are closer to condition 7++. Internally, two of the cars are clean, the third passenger car has some surface oxidation on the frame. Lastly, all lights have been tested and do illuminate properly.
Finally, nice original boxes are included for the passenger car set. Below is a summary of them:
- All boxes are the correct Late Classic variety for 1957.
- All end and tuck flaps are present on all boxes.
- All inner flaps are present and five of the six coupler flaps are present.
- There are a couple of very minor pieces of clear tape on both the exterior and interior of the boxes.
