Now available for sale is a clean, undamaged and all-original D. L. & W. work caboose with the hard-to-find light gray frame. This caboose has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and the searchlight is fully functional. The work caboose has vibrant exterior colors with clean and crisp side lettering and graphics. There are some minor paint nicks and marks on the cab, however the rest of the caboose is graded closer to 7+. There are no stress cracks on the rear roof overhang plus the tool bins are complete and free of nicks and chips. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation on the trucks or frame plus all four corner metal steps are present and not damaged.
Also included with the caboose is the original box and insert. The insert is complete and solid with nothing torn nor missing. The original box has all internal and external flaps with clear tape on the interior of several flaps plus there is a small hole (probably from a typical basement mouse) on one end flap as seen in the photos above. Overall, a decent box with only a couple of apologies.
