Now available for sale is a gorgeous, all-original set of 2383 Santa Fe F3 dual-motor diesels. Both diesel units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout. The exterior colors are vibrant with a nice and clean silver base, the side lettering and graphics look great and the front decals are clean and complete. The interior of both units as well as the motors, e-unit and horn are clean and these units are the late 1950's production version with the orangish-coiled wire on each armature. Lastly, the horn has been tested and does operate properly plus the exterior shells are free of damage and cracks and there is no rust nor oxidation on either locomotive.
Also available for sale are their original boxes and instructions. The instructions are nice and clean and dated June 1958. The original boxes are mixed regarding their condition. The trailer box looks beautiful, is nice and solid with clean, crisp lettering and graded a solid 9! However, the power unit box is a bit soiled, a little softer and has some corners missing due to mice living a bit too close to the box. The power unit box is graded at around a 6 or 6+.
