Up for sale is a beautiful 2359 Boston & Maine GP-9 road switcher that has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and runs like a dream! Externally, the shell on this diesel locomotive is flawless, probably in condition 8 to 8+ -- it's a gem! There is nothing nicked, chipped nor marked on the shell, the colors are vibrant and the side lettering is pristine. Internally, all functionality works just as designed by Lionel.
The frame too is nice and clean, but one side railing has some minor flaking on the hand railing and frame -- as seen in the 7th photo above. Otherwise, the top and bottom of the frame look great, nothing is repainted and all internal components are original postwar parts. Overall, a beautiful diesel that will look great on a layout or display case.
