Here's a beautiful set of New York Centrals F3 AA diesels from 1953. These prototypical looking units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. Externally, the paint is vibrant, the side lettering and stripes are clean and crisp plus the front decals are clean and complete -- although the trailer unit might (probably) has a reproduction front decal. Internally, the locomotives are as clean as the exterior. Lastly, there is no rust nor oxidation plus the diesels include original front number boards. The only apologies on these F3 units are a reproduction decal on the trailer unit, reproduction porthole lens on the trailer unit and one of the rear clips on the power unit shell used to secure the body to the frame has broken off -- but the body is still securely mounted with just the single clip. Even with these three minor apologies, the diesels look absolutely gorgeous!
Regarding the boxes, the power unit box is clean, solid and includes a nice insert with only one of the small tuck flaps missing on one end of the insert. The trailer unit box has all flaps on one end, however the opposite end has a soiled end flap and is missing both inner flaps. the insert for the trailer unit is complete and solid. Lastly, original instructions are included and properly dated 1953.
