Now available for sale is an absolutely stunning, near-new set of Boston & Maine AB Alco diesels that were only produced for a single year: 1960. These hard-to-find, uncatalogued diesels have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout or proudly visible in a display case. The exterior colors are clean and vibrant while the side lettering and decals are in gorgeous condition. The frames, trucks and wheel are free of rust and oxidation and all functionality operates as designed by Lionel including the headlight, 3-position e-unit, horn and both magnetraction axles. Lastly, there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on either unit, they look factory fresh!
Finally, for those into unique variations, this set consists of the following components. The power A unit has a molded gray shell and is painted both black and blue. The trailer unit has the off-blue, almost a teal color -- which is fairly common for the B unit and just as manufactured by Lionel back in 1960, it is not faded nor worn.
