Now available for sale is an absolutely gorgeous, near-new set of Santa Fe AA Alco diesels that were only manufactured for two years: 1960 & 1961. These somewhat hard-to-find diesels in high grade collector condition have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout or proudly visible in a display case. The exterior colors are clean and vibrant while the side lettering is in gorgeous condition. The frames, trucks and wheels are free of rust and oxidation and all functionality operates as designed by Lionel including the headlight and e-unit. Lastly, there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on either unit and the front aprons are complete and not cracked. Simply put, these Alco AA diesels look factory fresh!
Also included are original boxes for each component. The power unit box is complete, solid, has the front perforation panel intact and has crisp exterior printing. Additionally, all internal and external flaps are present on the power unit box and the condition of the box is an 8+ to a 9. In addition to the power unit box, the trailer unit also has it's original box. The trailer unit box is not quite as nice and graded at a 6+ to a 7. Both end and tuck flaps are present on the box while one end has both inner flaps but missing the coupler flap and the opposite end is missing both inner flaps but the coupler flap is present.
