Now available for sale is a gorgeous set of 218 Santa Fe Alco AA diesels from the 1959 era. Both diesels have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout or proudly displayed within your display case. The exterior colors are pristine plus the side lettering and stripes are crisp and complete. Additionally, the frames, trucks and wheels are free of rust and oxidation and all functionality operates as designed by Lionel including the motor, headlight, magnetraction, horn and e-unit. The only apologies on these diesels are a hairline crack on the apron of the power unit and some minor decal loss on the front of the power unit (as seen on the 3rd photo above). Otherwise the exterior of each unit is in condition 8! Lastly, features of these Alco diesels include:
- Dual axle power
- Magnetraction on both axles
- Illuminated front headlight
- Three position e-unit
- Functional horn that has been battery tested and works properly
Note: Some photos above appear as though the shells have different shades or colors. This is due to the lighting / flash of the photos. Both shells are absolutely identical regarding their exterior appearance, colors and lettering.
