Now available for sale is an absolutely stunning, near-new set of Boston & Maine AB Alco diesels that have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout or proudly visible in a display case. The exterior colors are clean and vibrant while the side lettering and decals are in gorgeous condition. The frames, trucks and wheel are free of rust and oxidation and all functionality operates as designed by Lionel including the headlight, 3-position e-unit and both magnetraction axles. The only blemish on these units is the front apron has the tiniest hairline crack -- which is photographed and shown in photos 10 and 11, but not really visible due to how small the crack actually is on the apron.
Also included are nice and solid original boxes, sleeve for the power unit and original instructions. The power unit has a beautiful original sleeve plus the corrugated box is solid and includes the front panel. Additionally, the trailer unit box is solid and has all interior and exterior flaps. As seen in the photos, there is some old masking tape on the box. Lastly, the original instructions are correctly numbered 217 and dated May 1959. Overall, a gorgeous set of Boston & Maine diesels that rarely appear for sale in this condition!
