Now available for sale is a nice and clean set of Boston & Maine Alco AB diesels that have been thoroughly serviced, tested and are ready to run on your layout or proudly visible in a display case. The exterior colors are clean and vibrant while the side lettering and decals are in gorgeous condition. The frames, trucks and wheel are free of rust and oxidation and all metal components look factory fresh. Additionally, all functionality operates as designed by Lionel including the headlight, 3-position e-unit and both magnetraction axles are functional.
However, there are two notable blemishes on these diesels:
- The front apron on the power A unit has a hairline crack, although there is no missing plastic.
- The trailer B unit has some paint loss on the roof. This appears to be due to a substance or something on top of the shell prior to the unit being painted at the factory. The paint does not appear to be peeling due to mishandling or abuse.
