Here's a nice and clean set of 2033 Union Pacific Alco AA diesels from 1952. These silver diesel locomotives -- which are significantly harder to find compared to the 2023 Union Pacific silver diesels from 1951 -- have a clean exterior with nice side lettering and near-perfect front decals. However, there is some aging on the exterior and spotting on several locations throughout the shells. Lastly, one unit was (poorly) cleaned at some point in the past on one side and it has impacted the vibrancy of the silver paint (see photo 2, upper locomotive).
Both units have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and they run like a champ! Internally, the frames, motor and trucks are extremely clean with all original components and everything is free of rust and oxidation. The motor runs nice and smoothly, the lights do illuminate properly, the e-unit cycles as designed and the horn is functional, but occassionally is sticky. Overall, a very nice opoerator grade diesel.
