Now available for sale is a gorgeous, near-new, all-original 1872 General style steam locomotive and tender. Other than the wheels having run time on them, both the steamer and tender have minimal signs of usage. Externally, the colors are pristine while the side lettering and graphics are crisp, clean and complete. Even the metal components have a factory fresh appearance to them.
The steamer and tender have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. The three position e-unit cycles smoothly, the smoke unit works flawlessly and the illuminated headlight does work. Additionally, the steam locomotive is complete and undamaged plus all boiler support braces for the handrail are not cracked nor repaired and both units are clean and free of rust and oxidation. Both of these items are in fantastic condition and would look great on a layout of in a display case.
Lastly, original boxes are included for each unit. The steamer corrugated brown box is solid and complete with all internal and external flaps plus it's graded at an 8+ to a 9, it's a beautiful box. The tender Perforated Panel box is also complete with all internal and external flaps, includes the front panel but does have some clear tape on one end flap. Overall grading of the tender box is a 7 to 7+.
