Up for sale is a test run only # 1615 Steam Switcher Locomotive with the correct 1615T tender from 1955. Both the steamer and tender are in near-new condition with no external blemishes and only the faintest signs of ever having been run on a track! Externally, the colors are vibrant plus the side lettering is absolutely gorgeous and a pure white. The general appearance of the set is unblemished and free of any marks, nicks and signs of handling.
Also included in this set are original boxes and paperwork, including the following:
- Master Carton: nice, square and solid, includes all flaps, no tape and free of writing, tears and staining. The external writing is crisp and simply a beautiful box.
- 1615X Steam Locomotive box: square, complete and has all interior and exterior flaps. Like the master carton, this box too is square, solid and in near-new condition. Like many items earmarked for separate sale, the locomotive box has the "X" printed by each end flap number.
- 1615T Tender box: solid, square and complete with all interior and exterior flaps. The exterior colors are vibrant and the only blemish is one tuck flap and one interior flap is partly torn by the fold line. Otherwise, the box is free of writing, staining and tape.
- Additional Items: Lastly, this set includes original instructions, original inspection tag and a near-full tube of lubricant.
Without question, this can easily be the centerpiece of anyone's collection!
