Now available for sale is a brand new, never used 25+ year old animated hobby shop. This one-year-only accessory was only manufactured for a single year -- 2001 -- and is filled with lights, action and art. Below is a summary of the accessory as mentioned on the Lionel website:
You will watch in amazement as three separate layouts operate at your command. You will discover hidden gems throughout the shop from model trains, planes and automobiles, to classic Lionel artwork, catalogs and advertisements. Ten figures are placed throughout the shop to give it a "busy" feel. Interior lights bring every detail into view. Even if you have looked at it over and over again, you will still find yourself surprised at what new treasures the Hobby Shop reveals. You owe it to yourself not to let this opportunity pass you by.
This operating accessory has never been used and shows no signs of ever being removed from the box nor installed on a layout. The accessory includes all original components -- still in the original packing material as manufactured by Lionel. The exterior colors are pristine, there is no rust, oxidation nor damage to any of the components but please note, this accessory has not been removed from the original packaging nor tested -- but should work as its never been set up nor used.
