From its humble beginning in 1900 to the end of the postwar era in 1969, the original Lionel Corporation printed numerous items each year. Until recently, these paper products have received minimal attention from the collecting community. This section of our website is dedicated to a subset of those paper products.

The Lionel Corporation's varied paper products generally fit into one of two categories; either to assist a buyer with an existing train or sell to a prospective customer. During the 25-year postwar production era there were countless paper related items manufactured by Lionel that fit into those categories. Our website is focused on the more popular items including; billboards, small instruction booklets, consumer catalogues and general advertising material. Looking back, all of the paper items were critical for Lionel's growth and prosperity and served a specific purpose towards expanding their customer base. Today, it represents a new avenue of collectable merchandise for the avid Lionel collector.
