Now available for sale is a complete, undamaged, all-original 6557 smoking caboose. The caboose has been tested and both the interior light and smokestack are fully functional and operate just as designed by Lionel. The caboose shell has vibrant exterior colors, clean, crisp side lettering and graphics and there are no nicks, chips nor blemishes on the shell (the condition of just the shell is closer to an 8 or 8+!). Internally, the frame is just as clean as the exterior although there is some very minor spots of oxidation on the base of the frame (as seen in one of the photos above). Lastly, the bar end trucks and tab couplers are complete, fully functional and free of rust and oxidation.
Also included is a nice and clean original Late Classic box. The box has both end and tuck flaps, is missing one interior flap and there is clear tape on a few other flaps on the interior.
