Up for sale is an extremely clean # 164 Log Loader. This log loader accessory has vibrant exterior colors and there very few nicks or marks from usage -- certainly a low mileage accessory. It has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operates just as designed by Lionel. The controller is an original prewar controller with the harder-to-find brown exterior bakelite case, plus the controller wire has been replaced for your safety. Lastly, the logs are reproduction logs and there's certainly no rust nor oxidation on the accessory. The only blemish on the exterior is some yellowing on the green base. It is not paint and the yellow appears to be part of the bakelite base -- either from a liquid staining or possibly unusual fading / aging over time.
Note: The # 164 log loader was produced during both Lionel's prewar and early postwar production eras. This specific variation is dated to the 1941 era as the power terminals are on top of the base and there are no clean-out holes in the conveyor wells.
