2354 New York Central F3 AA Diesels (7++/OB)

Current Stock:

Product Description

Condition:  7++           Original Box:  Var          Year:  1953

Up for sale is a beautiful, all-original New York Central F3 AA diesel set from 1953. This low-mileage diesel set is decorated with the prototypical New York Central lightning strips paint scheme frequently seen in real life during the 1950's. The exterior shells are nice and clean and only show minor surface marks from usage. Additionally, the interior of each unit is as clean as the exterior. Each locomotive has been well cared for during the prior 65+ years and each has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. The e-unit cycles correctly, the horn is functional, the interior light works properly and both sets of magne-traction trucks are clean and complete. The exterior colors, decals, stripping and  lettering are clean, complete and vibrant. The only spot of oxidation is on the metal apron behind the pilot on one of the units (as seen in a photo above). Otherwise, their overall condition is close to an 8!

Included with this diesel set are their original boxes, inserts and instructions. The original power unit box is solid and includes and original postwar insert and graded at an 8+ to a 9! The trailer box is has interior tape on most of the other remaining flaps and does include an original insert. The trailer box is graded around a 7.
