Now available for sale is a clean, all-original Western Pacific F3 AA diesels from 1952. This low-mileage, one-year-only diesel set is decorated with a prototypical paint scheme from that era and looks great! The exterior shells are nice and clean and only show minor surface marks from usage. Additionally, the interior of each unit is as clean as the exterior. Each locomotive has been well cared for during the prior 65+ years and each has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, tested and operate perfectly. The e-unit cycles correctly, the horn is functional, the interior light works properly and both sets of magne-traction trucks are clean and complete. The exterior colors, decals, stripping and lettering are clean, complete and vibrant and there's certainly no rust nor oxidation on either locomotive.
Included with this diesel set are their original boxes and master carton. The original power unit box is solid and includes and original postwar insert, but is missing part of a tuck flap on the insert. The trailer box is missing all flaps on one end and includes writing on one side, but does include its original insert. Lastly, the original master carton is clean, complete and solid.
Lastly, this diesel set includes several nice extras as original sold by Lionel. They include; a postwar Service Station Listing, original tube of lubricant plus operating instructions correctly dated 1952 and original inspection tags for each locomotive.
